Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Merri Arts. By booking a class, workshop, session, or event with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure a safe, respectful, and smooth experience for all participants and staff.

1. Bookings & Payment

• All bookings must be made via our website, email, or approved platforms. We do not accept cash without prior agreement.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
• We reserve the right to cancel any unpaid or incomplete bookings.
   

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed terms.

In summary:

• Cancellations must be made in writing
• Refunds or credits depend on the notice period given
• No-shows are non-refundable.

3. Health & Safety

• Please inform us of any accessibility issues, medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or access needs when booking.
• At Merri Studio we do have 2 flights of stairs to access the main studio space. There is currently no lift available - we apologise for this but these are the limitations of our current setting. If you are interested in our classes but unable to access studio - please reach out to discuss how we might accommodate you in future.
• You agree to follow studio safety instructions and use materials responsibly.
• Children under 6 years must be supervised by a parent or guardian unless enrolled in a supervised class.
   

4. Studio Conduct

• All participants must treat each other and the space with respect, inclusivity, and care.
• Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in being asked to leave, with no refund provided.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or abuse of any kind.
   

5. Materials & Artwork

• Unless otherwise stated, materials are included in the class/workshop fee.
• You retain ownership of your artwork, though we may request consent to photograph or share images for promotional purposes.
• The studio is not liable for lost or damaged artwork left on site.
   

6. Photography & Media

• We may take photos or videos during sessions for social media or promotional use.
• We’ll always ask for your consent before publishing images where you’re clearly identifiable.
• If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know in advance.
   

7. Liability

• Participation in classes and use of studio space is at your own risk.
• We are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during sessions.
• You agree to release Merri Arts, and by association Lido Island and its staff, and facilitators from liability arising from your participation.
   

8. Changes to Schedule or Instructor

• We reserve the right to reschedule, postpone, or substitute instructors if needed.
• Participants will be notified as early as possible, and alternate options or refunds will be offered if appropriate.
   

9. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is collected, stored, and used.
